Hear Me Now trial to improve lives of people with ‘mild’ conditions

Hear Me Now has been chosen to lead a trial to help improve the lives of people with mild cognitive and communication impairments.

The National Institute for Health Research Greater Manchester Patient Safety Translational Research Centre (NIHR GM PSTRC) is to investigate the potential usefulness of Hear Me Now for people who have mild cognitive and communication conditions including:

• Learning Disabilities
• Neurodiversity

When people struggle to communicate their needs with others, this can have adverse effects on their life, and the healthcare they receive, and ultimately their health outcomes. The evaluation project aims to explore whether Hear Me Now has the potential to improve communication between individuals and professionals in order to enhance their lives and the quality and safety of care they receive.
